A new publication. Vermont Daily News launched in 2026. It is a new, independent publication and is not affiliated with earlier websites that used this domain or name, or with any other Vermont news organization.
What we do. We explain how decisions in Montpelier, town halls and federal agencies affect Vermont households, and we cover the businesses, institutions and communities across the state. We work from public records, official data and named, verifiable sources, and we link to them so readers can check our work.
Ownership. Vermont Daily News is owned and operated by Matt Anderson.
Contributors. Our regular contributors are Owen Hartwell (politics, state government and news), Claire Danforth (business, finance and profiles) and Miles Corliss (energy, environment, community and local news). Some contributors write under pen names, as explained in our Editorial Policy.
