Banff Mountain Film Festival January 29-30 in Burlington

Burlington, Vt. – January 30, 2010 – A film festival for outdoor enthusiasts and couch potatoes alike will thrill viewers with extraordinary footage celebrating mountain adventure, Saturday, January 30, 7 p.m. at Ira Allen Chapel, University of Vermont in Burlington, Vt. The entry fee is $12 and benefits the UVM Outing Club.

 The showing will showcase work from first-time filmmakers to crews with National Geographic, including work  on extreme sporting in the Mont Blanc range by Guillaume Broust’s MedeoZ and Ed Stobart and Dominic Gill’s Take a Seat, which follows a tandem biker’s cycle from Alaska to South America.
