Fourth Bank Robbery In Two Months

Lyndonville, Vt. – December 29, 2009 – At approximately 4:23 p.m. today, Vermont State Police received word that a bank robbery had just occurred at the Passumpsic Savings Bank on Broad Street in Lyndonville.

 A lone male entered the bank wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and demanded cash at a teller’s window.  He did not display a weapon and fled the bank on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. The man was of medium build, also wearing a black cloth mask, sunglasses, black gloves and gray sweatpants.
There was one customer in the bank at the time of the robbery and no injuries were reported.

This is the fourth bank hit in a rash of hoody-clad robberies in Vermont over the past two months.

  • Nov. 13, 2009 – Chittenden Bank, Enosburg, Vt. (brown hoody)
  • Oct. 27, 2009 – Chittenden Bank, Swanton, Vt. (brown hoody)
