Stabbing on Shelburne Road, South Burlington

South Burlington, Vt. – South Burlington Police responded this afternoon, Sept. 16, 2009, to a report of a stabbing  in the area of Needleman’s located at 570 Shelburne Road.
Upon arriving, police said, officers found Daniel A. Dennis, 23, of Essex, Vt., in Needleman’s seated on the floor near the register counter with a knife wound to his right lower abdominal area.  Police said a second man, Stephen S. Le, 40, of South Burlington, Vt., was found to have a handgun and a knife on his person.
 Dennis was transported to Fletcher Allen Emergency Room for treatment by the South Burlington Fire Department Ambulance.
The suspect, Stephen Le, was taken into custody and transported to the South Burlington Police Department. He has been charged with Aggravated Assault and transport to the Chittenden County Correctional Facility.
