Vermont State Zucchini Festival, August 15-16

Don’t just leave your overgrown zucchini on the neighbor’s porch, hit the Vermont State Zucchini Festival, August 15-16 in the Okemo Valley of Vermont.  Located at Veterans Memorial Park on Route 103.

Watch the always-popular zucchini carving and the popular zukapult!  The festival features new activities and foods related to zucchini each year so get a taste of Zuke fries, zucchini cookies, breads, cakes and more.  Don’t miss Vermont’s largest zucchini! The Zucchini Craft Show will highlight the work of fine Vermont artisans. Among the crafts represented are birds carved from wood, hand-knit sweaters, beaded jewelry, hand-woven baskets, pottery, quilts, and handmade soaps.
